Pétanque365 (P365 for short!) was set up in 2024, originally as a Facebook Group, but since then, we have launched this website.
We also have our own social channels at Instagram and YouTube, to which we encourage everyone to subscribe to as well!
Our mission is to create engaging content in the English language about the sport of pétanque. We are passionate about this great sport and hopefully our enthusiasm and desire to promote the ‘beautiful game’ is reflected in our coverage, which includes news, opinion, our Vodcast ‘Steel the Show’ and our live-streaming of matches both home and abroad.
We are hoping to expand our activities further in 2025 with our first ever tournament, the P365 Masters and also launch some merchandise which we hope will appeal to players and supporters alike.
Pétanque365 is run entirely by volunteers and we are a not for profit organisation, although you will appreciate that providing quality content like live-streams means that our volunteers often incur significant expenses. We are always grateful for donations for our work and our crowdfunding campaigns have been vital to help cover at least some of the costs that volunteers have to find personally.

Our Team
The P365 core team at present includes:
Martin HUGHES is a former Vice-President of Petanque England and was involved for many years in the national administration of the sport where he led on international representation. A pioneer of live-streaming, has coached at World and European Championships and has travelled worldwide supporting England for over 15 years. Resident in London, he is member of Chiltern Region of Petanque England and has represented the region on many occasions at the Inter-Regional Championships.
Could you contribute to P365?
We’re keen to hear from people who would like to volunteer their time to make Pétanque365 even better.
Some of the skills/contributions we’re looking for include:
- Contributing news – we’d love to hear about your competitions, results or stories about your activities whether they be at club, regional or national level. News always works better if there’s a photo or two;
- Comment – got an issue related to sport that you’d like to air? We’d love to hear it;
- Competitions – send us the details (a flyer would be good!) and we’ll feature it on our website and social media;
- Design skills – could you improve the look of P365 by contributing your design ideas? If you’ve got ideas for this website or our social media, we’d welcome your input;
- Streaming – it’s not as daunting as it sounds, you can even start by being a co-commentator with an experienced P365 streamer to learn how to do it and see if it’s something you’d like to do;
- Administering our social media – could you become an Admin or Moderator?
