Kent liftoff for 2025 Season!

Alex Spillett

The new season is starting off with a great event at Gravesend RFC this coming Sunday, 23rd February! The competition is shaping up to be a thrilling one, with some top players on the entry list.

The fact that Gravesend has covered pitches is a huge advantage, especially in February when the weather can be unpredictable. Club stalwart Mike Cubitt’s foresight to repurpose an outdoor market structure is impressive!

Organised by England international and European Women’s Doubles Silver Medallist Alex Spillett (who’s also playing), some top pairings that catch the eye are David Plumhoff & Callum Lombard, Jason White & Dean Ashby, Scott Ashby & Rowland Jones, Ashley Jamieson & Sofiane Lachani (a welcome return to the pitch) and Becky Edwins & Kai Sheffield.

It’s going to be very interesting to see which players will set out their stalls early in what promises to be an exciting 2025 season with so much international representation up for grabs for all age and gender categories.

Although we prefer to be in our shorts and eating ice cream when bringing our live and exclusive coverage of the beautiful game, we couldn’t resist getting pitch side for this one. Note though that the coverage may not start until mid-afternoon as P365’s top streamer/commentator Tim Edwins will only be able to get there following his participation in a EuroCup Qualifier earlier in the day.

Look out on P365’s Facebook Group for the coverage and we’ll do our best to let you know when things are about to kick off!
